The amount of savings would be the going retail rate for your resort minus the maintenance fee. For example, if it would normally cost $1,500 to rent the same place for a week and your annual maintenance fees are $800, your savings are $700.

 

Over a 12 year period, if you use your timeshare every year your savings would be $8,400. You’ve got to remember, that is its value to you! Anyone else may not consider that a valid value to them.

That is the only question that has any relevance whatsoever. No matter what the retail price is for your timeshare, NO ONE will ever pay you that amount for it. Why not? These factors will drive the value of your timeshare week in the mind of the buyer. Most of the time a timeshare buyer will offer far less than you’d consider. The good news is at least they are interested in your timeshare week. It is okay to stay firm on your price as long as it is still a big discount compared to what the resort is charging for the same timeshare week.
