Family Vacations for Under $1,000

MoneyTalkNews.com published an interesting article addressing how to save money on vacations focused on lodging. Here’s their link. They give six basic tips: Camping, National Parks, house swap, vacation homes (timeshare), visit family, and the stay at home vacation.

The most reliable and away vacation with luxury accommodations would be the timeshare choice. Chances are someone you know or someone in your family may own a timeshare they may not be using this year. Rent it! Imagine much larger rooms, bedrooms, a kitchen, laundry, on site facilities like golf, tennis, swimming, rentals, etc.

One great place to find these kind of deals is at RPMLS.com.  For example you can find one bedroom rentals for $700 a week in Florida or three bedroom resort timeshares at Mystic Dunes for around $1,700 for a week. Lots to choose from and terrific prices!

Just for example, here is a two bedroom at the Vacation Village at Bonaventure, one week in September for $1,200.
