Bluegreen Wins Awards For Timeshare Design

At the recent meeting of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) Bluegreen Corporation won the Gold Award in the Resort Design Division for best Interior Design – New Resort Unit. Bluegreen’s newest timeshare resort project, Building 3000 at Bluegreen Wilderness Club at Big Cedar, was their winning timeshare.

Bluegreen was a finalist in 18 categories with competition from Marriott, Holiday Inn, Hilton, RCI, and others. Bluegreen has more than 222,000 owners and owns or manages 54 resorts.

The Building 3000 at Wilderness Club is located in Ridgedale, Missouri. The timeshare resort was described in a press release: “Building 3000 is unique in that it used local craftsmen to build most of the furniture and architectural detailing,” Schwering said. “In an era where most interior product is being manufactured overseas, we made the distinct effort to employ people within a short distance of the project site. The craftsmen and artists felt a deep commitment and sense of ownership in what we were doing. It has also been a great green story because we were able to limit our impact on the environment and carried that message over to the guest experiences inside the suites.”

Bluegreen resorts have been around quite a while. Founded in 1966, the Bluegreen Corporation has developed master planned communities in the south and southeast. In addition their vacation based ownership plan (timeshare) has a loyal base of owners and their timeshare properties are aggressively sought after.
