All inclusive timeshare deals are considered by some to be a rip off. Others think they are the best way to travel. Here are the pros and cons of all inclusive timeshare deals:
On the surface all inclusive timeshares seem very expensive. The cost runs anywhere from $50 to $200 per day per person. But the fee covers meals, a limited number of drinks, and entertainment. Each all inclusive package is different and may or may not include transportation to and from an airport, green fees for golf, swimming pools, spa, health club facilities, laundry, and so on.
What the all inclusive fees don’t cover would be excursions, higher quality in house restaurants, expensive wines and liquor, sports equipment rental, and jet ski rentals.
Due to the remote location of some timeshare resorts, the all inclusive deal may be the best and/or only choice. In those situations you may feel like you are being held hostage by your timeshare and have no other choice than to use their restaurants and facilities.
On the other hand, you may not want to worry about keeping up with the costs of your meals and entertainment by purchasing the all inclusive package.
The bottom line is that you will end up paying for your meals and entertainment either all at once for a flat fee or out of pocket continuously throughout your vacation.
The all inclusive timeshare experience could be compared to a cruise ship. Although the meal choices will be a lot more limited to the timeshare resort.
If you plan on staying at the timeshare resort the majority of the time the all inclusive deal would work out in your favor. If you plan on being away from the timeshare during meal times you’d be far better off not using the all inclusive route.
